The HEMB Method (Harmonising Energy for Mind and Body)
HEMB stand for:
- Harmonising
- Energy
- Mind
- Body
Origins & Philosophy
The HEMB Method brings together in a practical and simple form, teachings and benefits both physical and mental, gained from 40 years of exploration, practice, and study of various sports, Martial Arts, personal development techiques, spiritual teachings, healing modalities, yoga and a continuous interest for the science that looks at the connections between mind and body. Mind and body constantly exchange information with the environment and are in constant fluctuation to support the actions necessary for survival, growth, and fullfilment.
The HEMB Method serves a guide in learning how to easily bring and maintain balance within ourselves, so that we can experience more harmony and coherence in the ways our life expresses itself, mentally, emotionally, and physically.
The programmes based upon the HEMB Method are designed to help people become more autonomous and "wellbeing efficient". To achieve this, programmes draw upon:
- yoga techniques,
- science (eg: neuroscience, psychology),
- modern forms of mobility training,
- meditation (the form of which can be secular or more spiritual, depending on the individual aspirations and needs),
- nutrition (aiming at promoting energy and balance)
Who is it For?
Busy individuals who understand that wellbeing is not a perk but a daily practice rooted not only in diet or exercise.
How it Works?
The method uses a simple, practical and powerful structure focusing on the management of energy by addressing five essential areas referred to as "The 5 Cups of Wellbeing". They are:
• Mind
Using meditation (secular or spiritual) to become aware of the "operating system" and to upgrade it to make the mind more aware of its recurrent ways that lock one in the same place, to make it, more open to change, more appreciative of possibilities.
• Breath
Opening channels for energy to work at its best through the mind and through the body;
• Movement
Moving is living. Don't stay stuck. Use yoga to realign, to allow energy to move through your unique geometry (mostly with yoga, for beginners and more advanced).
• Diet
To consciously support all aspects of mind and body functions. The programmes include meal plans to support energy levels and hormonal changes for those over 45. (meal plans suggested by a nutrition specialist).
• Rest
How many times have you woken up in the morning feeling "not rested"? Our programmes provide support in finding true recovery and rest (yin functional yoga, guided relaxations, therapeutic rest)..
These 5 areas are the essential levers that can be actioned to harness and nurture an energy that promotes health, peace of mind, sense of purpose and empowerment.
